Each day in December I'll be celebrating a handsome man. You may ask why, but there's no meaningful reply I can give other than: why not? They'll be revealed over the next 31 days in strict alphabetical order, so no favouritism. And you never know, I might celebrate 31 women in January...!
BEN COHEN, 37
Here we are, on Day 8, and Ben is my first British choice. But it's been worth the wait! It's one of my general guidelines in life that any man called Ben is pretty handsome (Stiller, Affleck, Browder, Foster, Whishaw etc). The same goes for people called Dan, actually, although there are no Dans on my list of 31 men. As well as being a highly successful rugby union player - he was part of the Rugby World Cup winning England team in 2003 - Ben is an avid and dedicated campaigner for human and equal rights, having set up the Stand Up Foundation after the tragic death of his father at the hands of bullies in 2000. He visits schools and travels the globe spreading a message of tolerance and respect for minorities, and has used his fame for great good. He also looks fabulous with his top off (his calendars were always worth the money!) and has a killer smile.
